Portrait Photography for Jobs Victoria
The Client: Jobs Victoria is a newly formed government organisation that provides tailored services to support and connect job seekers and employers.
The Challenge: To photograph actual employers and job seekers that have found each other as a result of Jobs Victoria, producing a range of content for advertising material such as brochures and posters. This involved good organisation and project management, sourcing and coordinating multiple parties of job seekers and employers to make up the case studies from diverse areas and industries across 10 different locations.
The Journey: Jobs Victoria made contact with some former job seekers who had recently been placed in employment through the organisation, and asked if they would be interested in being a part of the shoot. All the people contacted were more than happy to participate and eager to tell their inspiring and often quite moving stories. It was important that these individuals and their stories were told and they became the case studies featured in the shoots.
The Solution: Having worked closely with people on location for almost 10 years I thrive in this situation, and pride myself on being able to get authentic, natural images that tell the story of each case study. My videographer and I spent up to 2 hours at each location.
- JV received up to 30 images and a 2-3 minute highlights video for each case study.
- JV is very happy with the photos and video provided. This content can be seen on their website as web banners, posters and brochures.
- After completing 10 case studies in late 2017, I was commissioned to photograph another 40 in 2018.
